Are You SURE You Want To Leave a Stinging Yelp Or Google Review?

People can get a feeling of “satisfaction” when posting something vengeful. We understand. You know that review is going to hurt, and be seen my many. Off you go about your day. Other things come back into focus, and you are not thinking about it much, except an occasional smile knowing it will be delivering a daily payload of misery for your intended target. Then, they call me.

The recipient is upset – very upset. I explain that lawyers are expensive “I don’t care. This review is really pissing me off. ” They sign a retainer, pay me a hefty sum of money, and I go into attack mode. What is “attack mode?” Well, ask the people who defamed me. I uncovered their identities, and then posted their faces on my website. My website gets a few thousand “hits” per week. I subpoenaed just about everyone, domesticated subpoenas in Arizona, filed motions with the court, etc. Five years later, and one defendant is still in the case.

We just won a defamation trial, and the person that defamed my client on Google easily spent $250K over it, counting what she was ordered to pay. If you are going to smear someone on line, have the presence of mind to at least enjoy it, because it will be an unforgiveable sin to the business owner, and after you have “moved on,” he is plotting his legal revenge against you. I don’t leave bad reviews, and I’m fully capable of handling the legal work myself. It’s just not how I roll.
